Writing and Research

Journalism

Features, reviews, and commentary for Edutopia, Next City, TheAtlantic.com, The New York Times, the Philadelphia Inquirer, and others.

Some kind and brilliant person digitized the Village Voice, including my old articles, one of which was on this new trend of musicians uploading their music to the Internet and wondering whether this would ruin or save them.

Academic Work

A PhD candidate in teacher education and teacher development at Montclair State University, I focus on critical literacies and discursive power, with particular interest in teacher and youth agency.

Speculative Work

Stories in The Cincinnati Review, Parentheses Journal, Subnivean, Milk Candy Review, and others. Selected for Best Small Fictions (2025), nominated for Best Microfiction (2022), and a finalist for The Sewanee Review fiction prize (2021).
